At Vareseweg 5 in Rotterdam stands the first ISO 5 low dust unit. The unit is built in an industrial hall of Nearfield Instruments NFI under a mezzanine supplied by HIGHCARE. On top of this cleanroom Rotterdam ISO5 is the technical air installation on a mezzanine floor.

Heating and or polluting equipment

In this high-quality low-dust area, an ISO 5, all contaminating equipment is located outside the clean room. The supply and return lines to the equipment in the cleanroom are short and go in a straight line directly through the ceiling or into the cavity in the hollow metal walls. In the design phase, all parts that are difficult to clean were also kept outside the clean room.
The walls and ceilings are flat and tight and composed of inert materials that are easy to keep clean.

Aeronautics

The air technology in the Rotterdam cleanroom ISO 5 consists of a horizontal air flow across the room. Through the wall surface of one side wall, which consists entirely of HEPA filters, the filtered air flows through the cleanroom to the other side wall. This system makes it possible to move large quantities of HEPA air, more or less laminar, and achieve a very high classification from the immediate vicinity of the filter wall.

IFD technique

HIGHCARE’s cleanroom in Rotterdam at the company Nearfield Instruments NFI, consists of high-quality modular wall and ceiling elements that are interchangeable. This industrially produced system is assembled on site. The design complies with the IFD system. It is demountable, even after years of use, but the wall and ceiling segments can be rearranged if necessary. Nearfield built this project to accommodate its expected growth. The complete system is remountable, possibly rearrangable and expandable. In the current complex is a unit this is expandable to four independent clean rooms ISO5.
