XCDA extremely clean compressed air

XCDA extremely pure dry compressed air is based on modern compressed air systems that use adsorption and heating processes to ensure quality. The installation of XCDA and CDA is a specialty of Highcare and carried out by our professional technicians, involving high demands being placed on the material, the design of the conduits and the connections. The correct specification of a clean dry air system or an extremely clean dry air system is tailored to the customer’s requirements.

Industrial applications

In general, air for critical industrial applications is maintained at a moisture content with a dew point colder than – 73°C. A carbon dioxide content of less than 1 ppm and a hydrocarbon vapour content of less than 0.003 ppm is a commonly used specification requirement. In less critical areas, dew points of – 40°C or even 4.4° C for even less critical applications are acceptable. For air to be inhaled, it is essential that it contains an oxygen content ranging between 18 and 23%. Furthermore, the concentration of any toxic and harmful pollutant vapours must of course be at an acceptably low level.

Technical descriptions

Technical descriptions for XCDA, CDA and compressed air can vary significantly across industries. The definition of clean dry air also depends on the application. When it comes to XCDA – or extremely clean compressed air– Entegris is a specialist in the level of cleaning required for a particular application and the specific requirements of that application. Consequently, it is essential for compressed air users to be aware of potential contaminants in systems, their potential effects and possible solutions.
