Cleanroom maintenance for keeping the technical installation in optimal condition. In fixed periods per year, regular maintenance takes place in consultation with the users. Costs remain limited because HIGHCARE replaces parts such as filters based on measurement data and not on time.
HIGHCARE provides maintenance on the basis of an annual subscription.
The annual costs for cleanroom maintenance depend on the installed technical system and vary between € 850 and ‘ 1,500 per month. The measurement and control technology determines when filters are changed. Clients can check remotely 24/7 whether the installation is functioning correctly. Annually, the cleanroom is validated and an ISO certification is performed, as well as the statutory F-gas check.
Some of the maintenance work is preventive to keep the plant in good condition, such as cleaning the air handling unit, descaling the steam unit, the interlock system, all rotating parts of the sliding, sectional, hinged and high-speed roller doors.
A good estimate of the cost follows from the technical composition of the cleanroom.
EXAMPLE TECHNICAL COMPOSITION
– total air circulation 5000 or 51,000 m3/h
– recirculation 90%
– temperature in the conditioned rooms, 20 °C +/- 1 (setpoint/target value 20 °C)
– relative humidity in the cleanroom 55% +/- 5%, provided it is operating continuously (setpoint/target value 55% RH)
– humidification capacity, kg/hour yet to be worked out, entering condition 19.5 °C /45%RH, exiting condition 20 °C/55%RH
– cooling section, still to be worked out kW, water 6 – 12 °C, mixing condition 22.5 °C /50%RH and exit 10 °C /100%RH
– After-heater, central heating or electric, kW yet to be worked out, entry approx. 10 °C, exit approx. 19.5 °C
– light output LED lighting in production area, 1,000 lux, color 865
– design starting point circulationvoud production space > 20
– circulation in the goods and personnel lock about 10 -15
– Fresh air is drawn by the air handling unit from the production hall < 10%, recirculation > 90%
– water filter for the steam humidifier
– UVC unit in the AHU for stopping microorganisms such as Covid 19
The equipment used consists of internationally recognized market-based suppliers.
From the above list follow the details for a maintenance plan. What is the lifespan of a cleanroom? What requires regular maintenance? After more than 25 years of experience, the cost appears to be mostly consumables, such as filters and cleaning. The average lifespan of a cleanroom is well over a decade.
