Optimal effectiveness with new fire suppression technology
Water mist fills the space of an entire building or clean room within seconds. This provides a
Major advantages
This new technology offers significant advantages over traditional sprinkler systems:
- Less water use, less damage – Water mist reduces the amount of water needed, minimizing water damage, especially in sensitive environments such as cleanrooms.
- High precision – The system can be placed both horizontally and vertically, making extinguishing more precise and effective.
- Rapid heat absorption – The fog extracts heat at lightning speed, lowering the temperature and greatly reducing damage from extreme heat.
- Tuned extinguishing – The amount of fog can be adjusted to the size of the fire area, further minimizing water consumption and enabling applications in locations with limited water supplies.
- Life-saving – The main advantage: thanks to the fast and effective extinguishing method, lives are saved.
False alarm versus damage
Unlike sprinkler systems, a false alarm with water mist does not result in extreme damage. The fog stops the fire without leaving significant traces. Within seconds, the room fills with fog and effectively extinguishes the fire. A few minutes later, the fog is gone and nothing appears to have happened.
An added benefit: water mist can be tested periodically without damage to the environment.
The technology behind water mist
Water fog is created by an innovative network of nozzles (small nozzles) that atomize water into a fine mist. These tiny water droplets have tremendous fire-fighting power, especially in fires that release a lot of heat.
- Temperature reduction – The fog cools the environment at lightning speed.
- Oxygen displacement – Surrounding oxygen does not reach the fire source as well.
- Gas dilution effect – The rising fire gases are diluted, making it more difficult for them to re-ignite.
By cooling and smothering simultaneously, water mist is an extremely effective extinguishing technique.
