PHARMALOT cytostatics

Pharmalot was a pharmaceutical company primarily focused on the production, development and testing of pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical products in limited quantities.

The office with production unit was located in Geleen, Limburg. Production took place in this Highcare Cleanroom and it was specially built for Pharmalot in an existing building of “old” DSM. The cleanroom is located on the first floor and has since been used by Basic Pharma, the original owner.

Radius of 250 km

Pharmalot originally supplied pharmacists in a 250 km radius, common pharmacy preparations. The product range included non-sterile (oral/dermal, rectal) aseptic preparations, both high-risk and non-risk. Preparations were also developed in-house, in partnership and in consultation with practitioners, customers and other stakeholders.

Customers

It was possible to become a customer and order from the pharmacy preparations. As a pharmacist, you ordered easily through your own pharmacy information system or by e-mail. Did you want to order from Pharmalot? One was there for you then! You did need a compounding agreement for this.

Today

Today, the space is again owned by Basic Pharma. One might consider reusing the pharmacy. The units could possibly be moved to another location. This is because a Highcare Cleanroom is demountable and suitable for complete relocation. Only the adhesive floor remains behind.

Ideal environment

A mezzanine is the ideal environment to install this space on new, for example in an industrial hall. On this mezzanine floor we place the new air treatment and from here directly connected to all rooms.
